I woke up as a stray dirty puppy in the woods. The landscape around me is very depressing, plants grow but they seem half dead and very yellow. I start exploring and find an abandoned farm house. The farm house is very run down with trash and stuff everywhere and the nest doesnt seem very welcoming and abusive. There I find a dog pen, I open it and find a kids drawing of the puppy who lived in there. He was a blonde puppy. The pen looked like bad living conditions and was sad. I left the pen and went inside the house. Inside the house there was trash and furniture all broken and was deteriorating. I opened up a stove, and it led to a closed space through the wall into the kitchen countertops. Inside was a kids drawing of a puppy, I cant remember the color. I then moved on into the woods, these woods were very thick and a dark green landscape, Inside I met a talking cow with a bell around her neck. This cow started talking to me in a very motherly voice and I felt very calm. She asked if I came from the farm, I said yes. But after that I couldnt talk and could only shake my head yes and no. She kept asking questions Like am I alright or if im scared. Then she asked if I saw the dog crate and I said yes. She then said to go that way and pointed with her head. This is where my first dream ended, The next day the dream started out with me standing in front of a large ditch and inside there were tools and in the back was two dog crates exactly like the ones back at the farm. There were shovels and also turned up dirt. The crates were stacked on top of each other, I went into the first one and this one had a kid drawling of a red puppy and had red fur in the crate. I then climbed to the top crate which had a white puppy drawling that was on the floor, I tried to pick it up and put back where it belongs inside but on the back was a note, I cant remember what it said. I then went down to the first crate and the drawing had a note aswell,So then I realized the other 2 had drawings, I start walking back to the farmhouse and on the way I went to where the cow was and she was gone. I got back to the farm house where the original crate was and the cow was laying down and a raven was hangingout on a fence post , The raven was talking to himself. I entered the crate and took down the note and read it, I walked outside and then in the distance trees. Crows started flying away and cawing. The cow and raven looked at the trees and looked frightened. The cow looked at me but this time she had human like eyes and told me to run. I started running away. But she stayed behind and I just followed the raven as it flew.
Your dream is rich in symbolism and seems to encapsulate themes of vulnerability, abandonment, guidance, transformation, and the search for safety and belonging. Let’s break down the various elements and their meanings.
1. Stray Dirty Puppy in the Woods: Starting your dream as a stray puppy symbolizes feelings of vulnerability and abandonment. Puppies represent innocence and the longing for love, yet being dirty points to feelings of neglect or being in a troubling situation. The woods, with their depressing, half-dead landscape, suggest an exploration of your subconscious where the surrounding environment mirrors your emotional state—perhaps feeling lost or in a less-than-ideal situation.
2. The Abandoned Farmhouse: The run-down farmhouse represents a place where memories and past experiences reside, filled with unresolved issues or trauma. The trash and broken furniture signify emotional clutter—perhaps unprocessed feelings or experiences that you have yet to work through. Finding the dog pen inside suggests a recognition of your own confinement or feelings of entrapment. The children's drawings indicate a connection to innocence and possibly your own inner child, illustrating the desire to return to a more playful, secure state.
3. Encounter with the Talking Cow: Meeting the cow, especially one with a motherly voice, introduces a nurturing element to your dream. This may represent a desire for care, guidance, or maternal support in your waking life. The cow's maternal tone may signify that you are seeking comfort or reassurance as you navigate through your current challenges. The cow's questions regarding your well-being reflect your need to address your feelings and inner fears.
4. The Ditch and the Dog Crates: The transition to the ditch and the discovered tools suggests a digging deeper into your past or the potential for healing. The dog crates, similar to those at the farm, suggest that certain aspects of your past are revisiting you, perhaps indicating unresolved conditions of your childhood or situations where you felt trapped. The presence of drawings again signifies the importance of your feelings about your identity and the longing for freedom and self-expression.
5. The Note with the Drawings: The notes you found in the crates likely hold significant meaning for you. They can symbolize messages from your subconscious, urging you to reflect on your past experiences. The inability to remember the content might suggest that these feelings or experiences are not fully processed, and they require your attention for healing.
6. The Raven and Crows: Crows often represent mystery, intelligence, and the unknown. The raven speaking to itself and the dread felt by both the cow and the raven may indicate a sense of foreboding or an external challenge that you either face or sense is coming. The cow's transformation with human-like eyes symbolizes a deep recognition or awakening within yourself—perhaps a call to look at your situation from a more conscious perspective.
7. The Ending: The dream's climax where the cow tells you to run signifies a pivotal moment of choice and instinct. It implies that you are being called to take action in your life, to escape a situation that feels threatening or distressing. Following the raven, a symbol of guidance and transformation, suggests that you are on a path toward enlightenment or finding your true self.
In conclusion, your dream encapsulates a profound journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation. It urges you to confront your past and unresolved emotions while encouraging you to listen to your instincts. By recognizing these themes, you can take meaningful steps toward addressing your vulnerabilities and reclaiming your sense of security and belonging. Consider journaling about this dream to delve deeper into its personal implications and allow it to guide you in your waking life.
